WHICH ONE SUITS YOU

Two easy ways to
change your look.

Both are removable and made from human hair. The right choice depends on your own hair and the result you want.

Halo extensions

One piece of weft that sits on a clear, fine line. No clips and no glue, and it is on in seconds.

  • The gentler option, with nothing clipped into your own hair
  • Lovely for fine hair, and for adding volume and some length
  • Best when your own hair is at least shoulder length
  • Made to order in custom colours from our own Hitch hair

Clip-in extensions

Pieces you clip in yourself for length and volume all over. Choose 200 g for maximum fullness.

  • Double drawn human hair, the same thickness from top to bottom
  • Can be curled, straightened and coloured
  • 100 g and 200 g sets, in lengths from 35 to 60 cm
  • Made for occasional wear, not every day

PLEASE WEAR THEM KINDLY

Clip-ins are for occasional wear.

Clips that go into the same spot again and again, without time for your hair to rest, can cause traction alopecia, which is hair loss where the clip sits. For this reason we do not recommend wearing clip-ins daily. They are lovely worn weekly or for occasions, and best moved to a slightly different spot each time.

Halos are the gentler choice. The line is not a metal wire. It is a clear acrylic line, similar to fishing line, so it is comfortable and light on your hair. A halo is a single row of weft, so it blends best when your own hair is at least shoulder length. If your hair is shorter than that, a halo usually will not give enough coverage and blend. Message us and we will guide you to a better option.

HOW TO WEAR A HALO

On in minutes,
two easy ways.

First, adjust the line to fit. Slide the adjusters to shorten it so it sits snugly from just under the bony bump at the back of your head to about 2 to 6 cm back from your hairline at the front.

Save this guide for your first time. It is easier than it looks.

HOW TO PLACE CLIP-INS

Placed in rows,
from the nape up.

Clip-ins sit in horizontal rows across the back and sides of your head. The widest pieces go in the middle rows for the most volume, and the smaller pieces fill the sides and crown.

Take a clean, thin section of your own hair across the head and clip the rest up out of the way. Open the clips, snap each one closed close to your roots, then let your hair down over the top. Work from the bottom row upwards, and finish by blending the top layer.

Try to place the clips in a slightly different spot each time, and give your hair a few days to rest between wears.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

A little more about
halos and clip-ins.

Which is better for fine hair, a halo or clip-ins?

A halo is ideal for finer hair. It sits on a clear, fine line with no clips, so nothing is clipped into your own hair. Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will guide you on the best option.

Can I wear clip-ins every day?

We do not recommend it. Clips that go into the same area again and again, without time for your hair to recover, can cause traction alopecia, which is hair loss where the clip sits. Clip-ins are best worn weekly or for occasions, and placed in slightly different spots each time.

Can I wear a halo if my hair is short?

A halo works best when your own hair is at least shoulder length. It is a single row of weft all the way around the head, so on shorter hair it usually will not give enough blend and coverage. Message us and we will suggest a better option.

What is the line on a halo?

It is not a metal wire. It is a clear acrylic line, similar to fishing line. It is comfortable to wear and gentler on your hair than clip-ins.

Do I need a salon appointment to fit them?

No. There is no salon installation or maintenance for halos or clip-ins. Our guides above show you how to put them on, and you are always welcome to message us for help.

Can I curl, straighten or colour them?

Our clip-ins are double drawn human hair, so they can be curled, straightened and coloured. Speak to us before you colour them so we can advise on the best approach.

How long do they take to arrive?

Natural black clip-ins with a brown undertone are ready in about 3 days. Halos and other clip-in colours are made to order and take about 3 weeks from when your 50% deposit is paid. We always check local stock first.

Which weight should I choose?

Choose 100 g for added length and some volume. Choose 200 g for maximum fullness. Halos come in 100 g and 120 g, depending on length.

Will they cover thinning hair?

Clip-ins and halos add length and volume, but for coverage where your hair is thinning, toppers are usually a better fit. Book a free topper consultation to try them on with no obligation.
