Why hair extension maintenance matters.
Maintenance is not simply about moving the extensions up. It is also our chance to check your scalp and natural hair, reassess the placement and adjust the installation so it stays comfortable and looks natural as your hair grows.
Leaving extensions too long can cause tangling, matting and tension on your own hair. If something feels loose or uncomfortable before your next appointment, book in early or send us a photo.
BY METHOD
Maintenance for each method.
Tape
Every 5 to 6 weeks (some clients stretch to 8). The old tape is removed with a solvent spray, fresh tape is applied and the extensions are reinstalled. A reshaping cut is available.
From R400 for 1 pack
Tape extensions →Weft
Every 6 to 8 weeks. We assess the weft and move it closer to the scalp where appropriate. Mini maintenance moves the rings only.
Genius from R900, Butterfly from R600
Weft extensions →Micro ring and keratin bond
Every 6 to 8 weeks. We assess the rings or bonds, their age and condition, then reposition, re-tip or replace as needed.

Appointment length depends on how many packs, rows or strands you have. For example, 1 pack of tape takes about 1 hour and 10 packs about 3 hr 45. A wash, blow-dry and cut is included with 3 or more tape packs, 2 or more weft rows, or 50 or more micro rings or keratin bonds. Extension removal, re-tipping and colour are priced on the full price list.

Please tell your technician about any discomfort, visible bonds, scalp sensitivity or placement that bothers you. We can adjust the installation so it feels right.
Between appointments, follow the aftercare we gave you and do not wait too long if extensions feel loose. Send a photo on WhatsApp and we will guide you.

Can I wait longer than the recommended time?
We recommend sticking to the interval for your method. Waiting longer can cause matting and strain on your own hair. If you need to stretch an appointment, message us first.
Do you maintain extensions installed elsewhere?
Yes. Send us photos on WhatsApp and we will tell you what is possible and what to book.
Will I need new hair every time?
Tape and weft hair is usually reused as long as it is in good condition. We assess this at each appointment and tell you honestly if anything needs replacing.
