In our hands-on experience, this method can feel too heavy for fine or delicate hair. We’ll guide you towards a suitable alternative where needed.

UNDERSTANDING THE DESIGN
A flexible seam.
Built-in attachment points.
A Butterfly Weft is a continuous strip of extension hair with pre-made openings along its seam. In the ring-based application shown here, small sections of natural hair pass through those openings and are secured with small rings.
The weft is fitted in rows, with the amount and placement planned for your own hair. The product options below show two seam finishes; we confirm the suitable version, shade and length before ordering.
Standard Butterfly Weft
A close view of the seam and its pre-made openings. These attachment points allow the row to be planned around your natural hair.
Injection Butterfly Weft
A variation with hair embedded into a translucent base for a different seam finish. We still assess the complete weft’s weight and suitability for your hair.

Butterfly Wefts are currently an order-in option. They take about 3 weeks from when your 50% deposit is paid, and we always check local stock first, so please allow time before a special event or fitting appointment.

Professional maintenance
As your hair grows, the row moves away from the scalp. We assess your own hair and the attachments, then reposition the weft where appropriate.
Your refit timing depends on growth, placement and how the extensions are wearing. Contact us sooner about persistent discomfort, looseness or tangling.
Reuse across refits
Care for the hair, too
The hair can be reused while the weft and lengths remain in suitable condition. Its lifespan depends on the product ordered, your aftercare, heat styling and regular maintenance.
We’ll explain the expected wear and care for your chosen weft when confirming your order.
- Brush with support: hold the attachment area and gently detangle the lengths, working upwards from the ends.
- Dry the roots and row: avoid sleeping with wet attachments and follow your technician’s washing advice.
- Keep styling comfortable: avoid tight styles that pull on the row, and use heat protection when styling.
- Keep your refit appointment: maintenance lets us check the weight, placement and condition of your natural hair.
