It’s December, it’s summer, and you arrive at the coast looking fabulous and ready to relax. Your hair looks great, and you’re so glad you treated yourself to a set of extensions. The good news is that Kayleigh, Yentl or Devona told you that you can do pretty much anything with your extensions in your hair! It’s true!
If you are looking for hair extensions for your December holiday, tape hair extensions are the way to go. This is because they are thin and durable. With 3-4 cm bonds they are your solution to swimming with hair extensions while on holiday (or any other time of the year!)
When swimming, most people fear that that their hair extensions will slip out or that they will ruin the quality of the hair. However, with tape extensions that is not the case. HITCH Tape Hair Extensions are made with a medical grade tape for the ultimate bond. That means that you can exercise with hair extensions, swim with hair extensions, and heat style them. You have no limitations with these hair extensions. You do not have to worry about the hair slipping out because the strong bond will hold. You also do not have to worry about these hair extensions knotting or tangling while wet if you happen to be working out, swimming, or washing your hair. We use only high quality hair for our tape extensions so that they can be worn 24/7 without taking up too much more time and effort than your own hair. Swimming with tape in extensions is 100% doable, and with our extensions, all our clients should be doing it! You can finally swim with hair extensions and they won’t slip out, tangle, or ruin the actual hair extension bond.
Each tape weft is 3-4 cm wide, which is the perfect amount of hair that doesn’t tangle when wet. Since we only use Remy human hair, your hair extensions are all natural, high quality, healthy hair. The actual hair will not take damage if proper care is taken, and neither will the actual bonds, while swimming or going for a run. The great thing about our hair extensions is that they blend seamlessly with your own hair, even when wet. So not only will you have your extensions intact while swimming, you will also have that natural gorgeous beach wave. You know you love it!
To preserve your hair extensions, you will want to take care of them at all times. If you are going to get your hair wet in a pool or salt water, you can do so. Just be sure to rinse the hair as soon as you leave the water and try not to spend prolonged periods in the water. Rinse after swimming! This is the single most important part of wearing tape hair extensions and swimming. If you do not rinse out the sea salt or chlorine, the chemicals will break down the bonds over time. It may not happen the first or second time, but they can over time if you are careless. If you rinse your hair right away you won’t have a problem. Your hair extensions will remain in good condition, and you will be too busy enjoying your holiday to worry about them!
5 Golden rules for swimming with your extensions:
- Rinse your hair straight after swimming.
- Avoid brushing wet hair.
- Use a leave in conditioner or hair mask on the ends to keep hair healthy and smooth.
- If you haven’t had maintenance within 6-8 weeks, your extensions may fall out anyway. The extensions are more likely to fall out if they are already loose, which they are after 6-8 weeks of growth.
- Bring extra tape with you if needed.
- Braid your hair when swimming.
The Hair Extension Experts wish you all a happy holiday season and a great new year!
